Eligibility Requirements
You may be eligible for an Open Work Permit if:

- You are a spouse/common-law partner of a skilled worker working in Canada.
- You are a spouse/common-law partner of an international student with a valid study permit.
- You are a graduate student eligible for a Post-Graduate Work Permit.
- You are a refugee, a young applicant in a special program, or hold a temporary resident permit.
Fees, Processing Time and How to Apply
- Open Work Permit fees: $155 Open Work Permit Holder fee plus $100 Work Permit application fee.
- Processing time can be between 2 and 22 weeks depending on where you apply from.
